DESCRIPTION:The Newton Holiday Parade will be held on Saturday\, November 25th. The theme for this year’s parade will be ‘Christmas Dreams’. Please feel free to use your ‘pure imagination’ to bring your floats/groups to life. \nHere’s how you can get involved: \nShowcase your group or business in the parade! We welcome participation in a number of ways — your team could walk in the parade\, or drive a branded vehicle\, or prepare a float in this year’s theme to showcase your creative talents! There is no cost to participate and it’s a lot of fun! Find the participant application here and return it by November 10th. \nPlease be advised that floats and groups that wish to be judged must be in place by 8:30 AM. Judging will begin promptly at 8:30 AM. \nAll other marchers should arrive between 8:30 and 9:30 AM at the Lower Spring Street staging area. \nThe parade begins promptly at 10:00 AM.

SUMMARY:2021 Newton Holiday Parade
DESCRIPTION:Sussex County 4-H Clubs you are invited to participate in this year’s traditional holiday event by marching in the Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade! \nThis event has been held for over 50 years with participants from all over the county. The parade begins promptly at 10:00 am. The theme of this year’s parade is An Old-Fashioned Christmas. Please feel free to use your imagination to bring your group or float to life. \nAwards will be given for floats and/or groups who best depict the theme. \nPlease be advised that floats and groups that wish to be judged must be in place by 8:30 AM. Judging will begin promptly by 8:30 AM.  \nIf you are interested in building a float there are several supply and informational sites available on the web. \nAll floats will enter lower Spring Street via Diller Avenue with judging taking place before the parade so that as participants reach the reviewing stand the winners will be announced. \nAll other participating marchers and vehicles should arrive between 8:30-9:30 AM at lower Spring Street staging area\, this is open to drop off marchers only. \nNo one is allowed to park their vehicle in the staging area. \nBe advised that the staging area will be blocked off to all vehicular traffic. \nParking is available at all municipal parking lots in the Town\, and down at Memory Park. \nMusical groups\, floats\, animals\, and vehicles such as antique cars are welcome to participate in the Parade. DESCRIPTION:NJTC is an amazing weekend filled with friends\, fun\, learning\, and memories. The conference connects all Northern New Jersey counties with 4-H programs under one roof! Teens will be able to broaden their circle of friends\, learn new skills\, and most importantly\, just have fun. \nTeens will also take a trip to the Gravity Vault where they’ll work together to climb the rock walls\, as well as partake in the evening dinner dance where they can let loose and have fun with both old and new friends alike.

SUMMARY:2020 4-H Teen Winter Camp
DESCRIPTION:Winter camp is a fun weekend getaway for teens in grades 9-13 to meet 4-H teens from across the state\, enjoy some time away from daily stress\, and have fun! This year teens from Sussex\, Somerset\, and Warren Counties will gather for sledding\, hiking\, crafting\, games\, and making new friends at L.G Cook 4-H Camp in Stokes State Forest. Cost for lodging and meals for the weekend is $50 ($25 for Teen Council members). Registration is due by January 10\, 2020 to the 4-H Office. For registration or more information\, contact the 4-H Office.
