Please fold it over and tuck it up to cover your name for judging purposes.\nNEW- Photography entries are requested to complete the “4-H Photography Exhibit Explanation Card”\nIf you have a ‘Note’ card\, please secure it to your project where the judge will see it.\n‘Note’ cards answer questions such as: What I learned while making this project; What inspired me to make/do this project; etc. These cards help the Judges understand the motivation behind each project and/or the work that went into each entry and can award accordingly.\n\nWe will be strictly enforcing that no entry may be the result of a school project/assignment.  Entries to be found as such will be disqualified.

SUMMARY:Sussex County 4-H Animal Project Representative Applications due
DESCRIPTION:4-H Members in grades 9-13 who have completed three years in an animal project area are encouraged to apply to represent their animal species as this year’s 2022 Animal representative. Members applying must have completed a County level public presentation for the current project year to be considered. Priority will be given to those in 11-13th grade \nIn the event of a competition for representative\, more than one person applies; independent judges review the contestants’ application and schedule an interview portion for each applicant. Individual interviews will last approximately ten minutes with each judge asking 1-3 questions. Contestants applying will need to be able to attend the following required events during the fair if chosen: \n– NJSF/SCF&HS Opening Ceremonies (and parade if applicable) on the First Saturday.\n– Queen of the Fair Contest on the first Saturday\n– Be available in your species barn from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on the Thursday of the Fair to assist Round Robin participants.\n– If not a participant in Round robin\, assist during the Round Robin event.\n– *Livestock Reps Only– Assist with Market Animal Dinner and Sale (Tuesday evening)\n– Assist with species shows and other tasks as requested by your animal area coordinator. \nThe S. DESCRIPTION:Agricultural Scholarships are presented each year by the Ag. Division of the NJ State Fair/Sussex County Farm & Horse Show and applications are now being accepted for any Sussex County graduating high school senior or college student currently enrolled in an agricultural program pursuing a two or four-year degree\, or graduate studies in one of the many fields of Agriculture. \nFor more information and the application please go to Sussexcountyfairgrounds.org and click on Fairgrounds/Ag/Ag. History for the PDF application.  Information is also available in local guidance offices.  Mail application to the Ag. Scholarship Selection Committee\, c/o G. DESCRIPTION:The Sussex County 4-H rabbit project holds its annual Showmanship and Skillathon clinics over two weekends in spring prior to the New Jersey State Fair/Sussex County Farm and Horse Show. 4-H members who intend to show their project rabbits at the fair are required to participate in this event. \nThose members who would like to compete in the Sussex County 4-H Round Robin Showmanship Championship must compete in the first clinic to be eligible. \nThe event is held in the Phoebe and Ralph Shotwell 4-H Exhibition Hall on the Sussex County Fairgrounds. \n\nMembers are encouraged to use appropriate travel cages for transport.\nAn online sign-up form will be sent via email to schedule members.
