2023 Sussex County 4-H Open House
We will be hosting our Sussex County 4-H Open House in conjunction with the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce ‘Sussex County Day’ at the Fairgrounds on September 17 from 12 to 4 p.m. in the 4-H Shotwell building. This is an excellent opportunity for you to highlight your club to potential new members and give them a chance to find out what your club is about and answer any questions. All participants must be set up by 11 a.m. and will need to be present until 4 p.m. A table and two chairs will be provided. If you will need more than one table, please let us know.
We encourage clubs to have an activity for the public to participate in and bring props or animals to give people an idea of their club’s project area and goals. Flyers or handouts are also encouraged. If you need assistance in making copies of handouts, please email us a file by September 13.
Clubs that plan to participate need to reserve a space by Monday, September 11, so we can request the appropriate # of tables and chairs. You may do so by emailing Tanya at patrie@njaes.rutgers.edu or calling the 4-H Office 973-948-3040 x5. If you or representatives from your club are unable to make it, but would still like your club represented, please send us a flyer/handout for your club and we can make it available to the public.
